Living in Bombay in houses the size of matchboxes, you really do not want an extra sharer to your piece of heaven..!!!
Besides its been a while since there were so many people in the house barring the annual visits from cousins and an occassional family function/get-together..
Having lived a good part of my life living alone I had gotten used to/enjoying the sense of liberty and individuality I began to have..
Then couple of weeks ago a cousin who I had not met in over 15 years said that he was coming..
Also my cousins from abroad were home on Vacation..
And my other bunch of cousins were also home as their folks had to travel to Kerala..
So..For most part the house was filled with cousins, second cousins, cousins' cousins and many others..
Twas a Mad house and i'm sure was tough for the grown ups to be running errands for the kids all the more (not sure if we still categorize as kids anymore, but nevertheless we're still kids to them)..
But there was a sweet happy glow on their faces.. Just like they had met their prodigal families..
A warmth... of brotherhood.. of family.. of affection...of bond.. of admiration.. was easy for anyone to see..
Man Maketh Home they say... True i second..
To many more such pleasant memories.. cheers

The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.

Its never the size of the home you go to, its always the size of their heart.
